1: Sunday:
Morning:

From
Paris, follow the Seine River through landscapes that inspired
impressionist artists. A visit to Monet's famous gardens at Giverny
and explore the countryside surrounding the pretty town of Les
Andelys.
Afternoon
Visit the beautiful old city of Rouen and explore the quaint streets
and the famous cathedral, made famous by Monet's many paintings.
Arrive at your accommodation for the week.
Day
2: Monday: Morning
Visit
the famous cheese factory a Livarot. Drive through the rolling
hills of the Pays d'Auge, famous for its apple orchards, fine
cider and the powerful apple brandy known as "calvados."
Visit the country market at Saint Pierre sur Dives, and its 11th
century market halls and abbey.
Afternoon
Visit William the Conqueror's native town of Falaise and its impressive
château-fortress with its magnificent view over the Dives
Valley. Return home passing through Croutte, visiting the beautiful
Abbey gardens and also through Camembert to taste the cider and
calvados.
Day
3: Tuesday: Morning
Guided
tour of Caen, with a visit to the spectacular Abbaye aux Hommes,
the Abbaye aux Dames and William's Castle. Free time to explore
Caen. 
Afternoon
Cross the river Orne via the famous Pegasus Bridge followed by
a visit to the Caen Memorial museum .
Day 4: Wednesday: All Day
Explore
the D-Day Landing Beaches, starting at Sainte-Mère-Eglise
and heading east. Visit Barfleur, St-Vaast-la-Hougue and Utah
Beach. Continue to the rugged cliffs near Port-en-Bessin for spectacular
views of the beaches. Walk the path to Omaha Beach and St-Laurent-sur-Mer,
site of the American cemetery featured in "Saving Private
Ryan," and Pointe du Hoc, one of the most telling memorials
to the fighting, with its bomb craters and intact battery bunkers.
See the steep cliffs stormed by Rangers in their struggle to destroy
the six-gun battery. Final stop will be Arromanches-les-Bains,
site of the famous W.W.II artificial port that was towed across
the Channel as part of the invasion force.
Day
5: Thursday: Morning
Guided
tour of Honfleur, picturesque port, treasure to the artists of
the 19th century, native town of Eugène Boudin, Monet's
inspiration and teacher, and of the composer Eric Satie. Walk
through favourite landscapes of the impressionists and discover
their outdoor atelier.
Afternoon
Visit the fishing port of Trouville and the chic seaside resort
of Deauville. Drive through beautiful countryside to the charming,
award-winning villages of Beaumont-en-Auge and Beuvron-en-Auge.
Day
6: Friday:
Morning
Guided tour of historic Bayeux; visit the War Museum and the 11th-century
tapestry depicting the decisive Battle of Hastings, where William
became "The Conqueror" of England.
Late
afternoon
Visit the beautiful Cathedral. Free time to explore Bayeux.

Day 7:
Morning
After breakfast, drive to Paris to a hotel or the airport.
