This
delightful property is a 16th century farmhouse set in 10 acres
of fields with beautiful views of the Vie valley. The lovely large
cottage garden should be seen in May and June, when the irises
and roses are at their best. On the farm there are sheep, ducks,
and hens, as well as the family dogs and cats. The house has been
lovingly restored over the last decade and we have brought up
family here. Outdoor furniture and barbecues are available. The
farm is a mile from the small market town of Livarot, where there
shops, bars, supermarkets and restaurants. Cider, Calvados and
Pommeau are made locally and the area is famous for its cheese.
Meals
are provided and are included in the price of the tour. The delicious
home-made cooking, using fresh local produce, is mainly French
cuisine. Typically, a Continental breakfast will be served before
each day's outing. A light salad lunch or picnic, will be arranged
at midday and in the evening a four course dinner with a half
bottle of wine will be served. Other drinks will be available
but are not included in the price. Special diets vegetarian or
low cholesterol can be catered for.

are three suites of guest accommodation:

Pressoir:
Enter
the attractive and sunny living room with large exposed oak beams
comfortable sofas and TV. In the dining area there are table and
chairs and a kitchen corner with cooker, microwave oven, and fridge/freezer.
Adjacent to this room is a bathroom with bath, sink and wc. Open
stairs lead from the dining area to two large and pretty bedrooms,
one double and one with a double bed and two singles. (Sleeps
5 max)
Le
Grenier:
Climb
the exterior oak staircase to the front door and enter this independent
first floor apartment. The accommodation consists of a large living/
dining room with a kitchen corner equipped with the all the essentials.
Adjacent to this room is a large bedroom with a double bed and,
separated by a curtain, bunk beds. Off the bedroom is a shower
room with sink and WC. (Sleeps 4 max)
Les Iris:
Situated
beside Le Pressoir, this apartment has a cosy living area and
shower room downstairs and upstairs a bedroom with a double bed.
(Sleeps 2 max).
